My first piece of garden equipment was a wooden wheelbarrow made by my father. He gave me my own patch of garden which quickly became my pride and joy with many, many flowers that, for some reason, just seemed to grow... "This must have been the start of my obsessions with all crafts, gardening and cooking. over the years, I've lost count of how many different techniques I've adopted from areas as diverse as glass engraving and plastering walls... "But throughout all this time, my first love has always been flowers, flowers and gardening.
