Cakes
Wedding cakes have moved on a great deal since the Romans when a
cake make of wheat and barley would be broken over the bride's
head! (as a symbol of fertility of course!). It took nearly two
thousand years before, in 1600, the French introduced tiers and
pillars.
Nowadays, thank goodness, "anything goes": Royal icing, sugar
paste, buttercream, chocolate and even merengue!
At Ashley Louise we prefer the modern age, with our extensive
(although not quite Roman!) experience, we can create whatever you
want. Yes, we have pictures, brochures and portfolios but we want
to create your cake for you.
There are no limitations. Our inspiration comes from you and so
each cake we make is unique - you definitely won't get another like
it anywhere.
